I’ll admit, sometimes it’s hard for me to even follow my own advice, but when this little number is glowing from your walk-in…you grab it and run to the nearest…anywhere 🙂

I love a good shift dress, and major extra bonus points when it has – pockets!! It’s like the holy grail of dresses: Comfy →Pockets→Neon→Sold.

I cannot tell you how GIDDY I feel when all things red, white and blue start making their way into stores. As in, I will text my Mom a picture from the Memorial/4th of July isle of Hobby Lobby in April with the text: IT’S TIIIIME!!! (followed by an extremely large amount of hearts and American flag emojis). What can I say? I’ve got a soft spot for those patriotic shades…

Speaking of soft spots, I’ve got a major one for this dress, that comes in 10 different colors! I love the orange option too, and am thinking of grabbing it for the summer because how good would it look with a tan? Sidenote: it runs large so definitely size down if you’re interested!

With the exception of this past weekend, it’s been in the high 80’s almost 90’s where we live, so my wardrobe has completely skipped over spring and moved straight on to summer. Originally I was obsessed with the yellow version of this romper, but it was sold out in my size so I settled on this color option instead. Hands down – SO glad I did! The colors totally pop and make my heart so happy. I can already picture this romper on a tropical island somewhere…now I just need to find myself on that island too 😉

Whenever I’m down at the beach, it’s a given – I have to wear stripes. Blame it on the sailor girl in me, but nothing makes me happier than some good old fashioned blue and white striped anything. So imagine how incredibly happy I was to find these pants! They were perfect for spending the afternoon down on Balboa Island last weekend. It’s one of our favorite spots to visit. There are so many fun shops and restaurants, not to mention you can hitch a ride on the ferry to the other end of the island, where there is a ferris wheel, rides, cotton candy and the best darn hot dogs in all of Newport Beach 🙂

Any fun plans for the weekend? Do tell! Strangely enough, we are supposed to get rain this weekend (huh?), so it looks like it will be a pretty low key one on this end…

See ya later, pastels…and hello neons! We are thiiiiiis much closer to summer, which means all of my brights are coming out the next few weeks in full force. Definitely not sorry about that one! I’m also not sorry for grabbing this fun little dress last week. It also comes in 2 other colors, and I almost wish I were a bride again, just so I could wear the white version to one of my showers. Guess I could pass that idea along to both of my engaged sisters, right? But I soooo want it for myself 😉

Summer is around the corner, and you know it wouldn’t be complete without eating at least one meal in the park, by the lake or on the beach – and because any occasion with finger foods and maybe even a puppy or two is just begging to be Instagrammed these days, you’re going to want to wear the perfect picnic outfit.

And speaking of perfect, could this skirt BE anymore perfect for that occasion? The gingham print screams summer! It’s now given me an incentive to plan a Memorial Day bbq just so I can glide around the back yard in this skirt 🙂
