The off-shoulder top is no longer a trend, it’s a wardrobe essential. They are fun, flirty and most of all flattering, so what more could you want in a top? Unfortunately, this happens to be an old one from Chicwish, but I linked a few other options that are a close match.
 
And thanks to my little sis for this cute pineapple clutch! It was one of my favorite birthday gifts I received  a few weeks ago (the other was a giant inflateable swan for the pool that I am SO excited for and SO using alllll summer long!).

Have you heard the not-so-shocking news that I’m a sucker for over-the-top accessories? What can I say? There’s nothing like glamming up a basic date night look, with a little floral flair 🙂 Whether it be a feather skirt, a fun bag, or a 70’s inspired out-of-this-world coat, I always try and up my look by adding one piece of something fun. That’s what fashion should be: pure & total fun. Don’t be afraid to take a risk! I promise you’ll thank me later 😉

I got a lot of questions regarding the top I wore in this Instagram picture, so I thought I’d do a post on how I styled it. I was a little nervous because obviously it’s totally see-through, so I  wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with it once it arrived. But those sleeves were the clincher for me, so into the “buy now” basket it went…
 
It’s technically categorized as a dress (not so much), but I’m wearing it as a dress/top instead (is that even a word?!). It’s a whimsical top for summer, and of course I’m always drawn to anything that’s different!
 
Are you all doing anything fun this weekend? We have some picture taking to do on Sunday, but other than that I have a free weekend. It’s been so long since I’ve had some down time, I hope I know what to do with myself! Thanks for reading! ♥

Another day, another amazing find, my friends! First it was this dress which totally had me going ga-ga over the price tag (and that major ruffle detail). Now I can add this showstopping colorblock dress that goes for UNDER $17. I swear, when you find something this good, sometimes you just can’t believe your luck. The colors are so vibrant and the dress fits amazingly (I’m in a small). Word to the wise –  it would be a serious fashion crime if you didn’t have this little number hanging in your closet for summer! 😉

As most of you know, my wardrobe consists of mostly solids and especially in dark colors, so when I saw this tunic from The Mint Julep Boutique I knew it was just what I needed to inject some personality into my summer look. I love these longer tunics, because they work so well tucked into jeans or shorts. It’s such an easy look to achieve, and always super comfortable.
 
I can’t believe that it’s already time for the weekend again! I feel as though I’m still catching up on sleep from the last one, to be honest. On Saturday we are headed to a superhero themed birthday party for my BFF’s son. She’s already mentioned that there will be a bedazzled cape waiting for me when I arrive.
 
I mean, priorities 😉

H&M has the best selection of loose-knit cardigans. I always grab a few every season because they are inexpensive, and so easy to wear to work. They come in handy during the summer when it’s blazing outside, but the office is ice cold!
