There are those special outfits that steal your heart from the minute you put them on, and this one did me in good! I think it was getting me majorly excited for summer, and anytime I can throw on these bold bottoms, my mood seems to lighten. Obviously they are a little out there, so it’s not every day I can find a reason to wear them. But gosh, I wish I could! And yes, I’m totally the girl who rocks all black no matter what season it is. I always think black in the summer can be just as chic as it is in the fall.

I’m so happy that off-shoulder dresses are all the rage right now, because it gives me a reason to buy as many  as I want and not feel even remotely guilty about it 😉 The eyelet detail is what originally sold me on this one, but I had also been on the hunt for a dress that I could pair with this adorable flower bag, so…mission accomplished! I’ve always loved fashion and accessories that are different and outside of the box, and this fun thing definitely fit the mold!  Welcome to my closet little one…

This dress. I’m in serious love with it (and the 2 other colors it comes in too!). It’s nothing new that I love a good electric colored dress, but cobalt blue was different for me. The shape of a shift dress is what draws me to them every single time, and this one falls so nicely on the body. I ended up wearing it to a luau on our last night, which was the perfect idea, considering all of the amazing food I decided to stuff my face with that night. Hey, you only live once 😉
 
What do you guys have in store for the weekend? I know it’s Mother’s Day, so some of you must have some sweet plans! We are laying low and having a BBQ at Mom & Dad’s. It’s supposed to be in the 70’s, so it should be a nice day!

When it comes to vacations, there are always 3 things I instantly pack:
 
Something bright – √
Mirrored Sunnies – √
Fun Bag – √
 
The first two were easy, but I had a harder time thinking of a bag to bring until I spotted this cross body from Asos. I mean…how perfect for Maui! It was a great size, and really held a lot of my stuff when touring around the island. And what a shocker, this tunic is actually a cover-up, but I wore it as a top instead (I seem to be notorious for this trend lately – see here). I was sold the minute I saw those sleeves, hello summer drama!

Attention Ladies: If you are in need of an off-shoulder dress for summer, you can stop your search right now because –>THIS IS IT.
 
It’s under $18, one size fits all, and comes in red. Could there be a better reason to snatch up this little number immediately?! Even after packing it in my suitcase for 2 long flights, the ruffle completely held it’s shape, (which was major bonus points right there). And I wish that this necklace was available, but it was a super Etsy find so there was only one being sold. I swear, Etsy really has some great hidden treasures. It’s always my go-to for fun summer accessories. 
 
Thank you guys so much for reading and following along! It was the best trip to Maui, but it feels good to be home in California and back with the pup 🙂  We will definitely be visiting again someday, without a doubt. Last round of photos from the trip coming next week! Have the best weekend! XO
