I love love love having a reason to bundle up and bring out all of my cold weather gear. We are finally getting some of that El Nino rain we’ve been warned about for soooo long here in Southern CA. The best part about that? Snow in the mountains! I love that we are only a 2 hour drive away from the most gorgeous winter wonderland. I scooped up this Zara waistcoat a few months back, and now it’s on major sale, as is the cute little pom pom (under $5!). Love those after Christmas sales 😉

There could not be a better way to ring in a new year of fashion than with this skirt. I knew I wanted something bold and different to post in this first week of the new year, so it was pure luck when I stumbled upon it. I mean, feathers!! They always make a girl feel so feminine and pretty. There must be a job out there where you can feathers every day…a girl can dream, right? 😉
 
Hope you all had a great first week of 2016! I’m back to eating healthy again and while it’s hard, I was definitely ready for a junk detox. Waaaay too many Christmas sweets and carbs. But wow, were they good!! -xo

Happy Monday, and Happy New Year! It’s back to the daily grind for most today (myself included – blah), so what better way to start the week than with a fresh pop of neon during the dull of winter? It’s no surprise how much of a neon fan I am, so any reason to sport these colors, count me in 😉 This is one coat that won’t be packed away once winter is over, either. It will be on heavy rotation this spring too!

As you all know by this point, I’m slightly obsessed with faux fur coats. But a pelted faux, that actually feels like real fur? Pretty much sold. People never believe me when I have to break it to them that no, it’s not real. It’s what I like to call “luxe for less” 😉
 
I’m taking a little blogging break, so this will be my only post this week. But I will be back next Monday with my last post of the year. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! I’m so ready for some family time. It really is the best and most special part ♥

I’m so in love with this scarf from ILY Couture. It screams Christmas candy canes to me! I just checked, and unfortunately it’s sold out..but they always restock pretty quickly, so keep your eyes peeled!
 
On a totally random note, we shot these pictures last weekend at one of my favorite Christmas trees in Orange County. It’s so beautiful in person, and pretty great for blog pics 🙂 I’m so glad we got these shots done when we did, because the tree literally burned down the next morning! Like, burned to the ground – gone. So sad!
